VTAC CourseSearch will become the definitive source of online course information, including prerequisite and study program search.
The Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre (VTAC) is the central office that administers the application and offer process for places in tertiary courses at university, TAFE and independent tertiary colleges in Victoria (and a few outside Victoria).
VTAC receives and forwards application information and supporting documentation to the course selection authorities at institutions.
After selection decisions have been made by the course authorities at institutions, VTAC sends offer letters to successful applicants on the institutions' behalf.
Access to the VCE Results and ATAR service for 2015 will be using the VCAA Student Number and Results Service PIN only. VTAC applicants will be allocated a separate VTAC ID and PIN upon registration.
Negotiated Offers will no longer exist for course applications from 2015 onwards. Instead, Change of Preference will be reopened between offer rounds.
Mid-year course applications open today, for courses commencing in second semester this year.
Important dates for 2015-2016 applications are now available.
The Feburary 2015 VTAC Gazette is now available from the Publications section of the VTAC website. The Gazette contains some important policy reminders, and a full list of the new, cancelled, and amended courses for the 2014-15 application and selection period.
VTAC’s video production about choosing VCE studies includes interviews with students who have recently completed Year 12.
