Included in the recent memo to Victorian school principals and careers practitioners was an updated consent form proforma for permission to distribute the ATAR.

A reminder that, as stated in the memo, if you have previously gained permission from students using a different form (such as the previous VTAC example form), there is no need to re-obtain permission using the new form. In future, you are strongly encouraged to use the VTAC proforma, which is provided to assist you in gaining voluntary informed consent in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles. Compliance with national and state privacy legislation is ultimately the responsibility of your own organisation.
