As of August 2016, the number of course preferences available to an applicant will be reduced from 12 to 8. That is, applicants will be able to list up to eight courses on their preferences list.
This change is based on analysis of applicant behaviour: the average applicant lists only 6 preferences, and historical data showed that applicants were unlikely to accept course offers made by preferences 9-12.

For maybe 90% this makes sense. For the other 10%…?
Hi David,
100% of applicants will need to carefully consider their course preferences and list up to eight of them.
Cheers,
